Project Leader, INCAB Industries, Pune, India (June 2012 - April 2013)

• Led a group of 3 students in proposing an alternative design for the taping machine

• Generated the 3-D model of the design using Catia V5 and validated the design using Ansys

PROJECTS

Taping Machine for INCAB Industries (June 2012)

• Generated a model by considering the various stresses acting on the design and also tested the design for failure by calculating the maximum shear stress.

• Validated the design considering parameters such as normal stress distribution, equivalent stress distribution and total deformation and thermal stresses.

Manufacturing system at INCAB Industries (September 2014)

• Studied the manufacturing system at INCAB Industries by calculating the cycle time and rate of production.

• Recommended the system level changes to improve productivity and to automate the system.

• Studied the quality assurance techniques and recommended system type or technology type changes

Water electrolysis based hydrogen refueling stations (November 2015)

• Determined the feasibility of developing a hydrogen fueling network station in Mumbai, India by estimating the number of H2 fuel stations required depending on the number of vehicles.

• Utilized renewable energy sources to produce power to run the electrolysis plant.

Vehicle Data Analysis (November 2015)

• Simulated the data of a conventional, electrical and hybrid vehicle using Excel

• Compared the performance of the three vehicles based on total cost and MPG

A Two Stage Gear Box and a Pressure Vessel (June 2011)

• Designed a two stage gear box and a pressure vessel by considering the stresses acting on the component depending on the material used for the manufacturing.

• Tested the design for failure. Also, generated the model using Auto CAD

BOARD MEMBERSHIPS/ CONFERENCES ATTENDED
