The Client is headquartered in Australia, having its distribution business for many commodity and custom Packaging products. The implementation includes standardization of various business processes across the client’s companies/ divisions and interfacing SAP with its current landscape

Roles Includes:

This project involved implementation for S.C. Johnson Products Pvt. Ltd. This implementation is complex as the company is already Live in around 49 countries and challenges were faced map Indian processes and taxation with the Global template.

1. Mapping Indian Pricing Processes for Imports, Domestic including duties & taxations.

Project: Essar Projects (I) Ltd. (December 2009 – May 2010)

Role: Project Manager

This project involved implementation for Essar Project (I) Ltd. This implementation is complex as the company is handling Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects for various industries like Steel, Oil, Power, Hydro-carbons etc for which the solution design is different.

1. Since this is a re-implementation Project of the client, solutioning mainly involves getting Best Practices, change management for the company, and removing their pain areas which is much more complex than a Standard fresh SAP Implementation.

2. Project manager for a project with more than 40 consultants

3. Another responsibility at the project is to perform the role of CIN & MM Subject Matter Expert for this project and getting Best Practices implemented for the company in Indian taxation.

Project: ZEE – ITZ Cash Cards (February 2009 – November 2009)

Role: Lead MM/ IM Consultant

This project includes incorporation of four companies with very diverse businesses.

1. INTREX – Main Company

2. ITZ Cash Cards – Cash Cards, Swipe Cards for Online shopping, Mobile refills, ticket booking and much more

3. TRADEX – Barter Exchange system with over 2000 registered members

4. ITIPL – Distributor for ITZ Business and also acting member of TRADEX business

Apart from the Material management & Inventory processes also configured the country India Version related processes for TAXINN.

Additional Responsibility

The project also required QM module to be implemented for few of their products, handled QM module along with my set of responsibilities for the project.

High Point:

• Interfaces: Interfaces with existing Client Systems for ONLINE backend Transactions and Reporting – Client has In-house system CVMS built to track the status and records of all the cards being activated/ used by the customer. With introduction of SAP following were the Key Interface Points built in to facilitate seamless interaction between two systems:

o Card Inventory Management & Tracking

o Payment/ Settlement to the Merchants in SAP based on the Card Utilization Report received everyday from CVMS

o Planning of Cards Inventory in SAP for self and Distributors based upon Reorder Point.

o Activation requests for the Cards captured in SAP and seamlessly integrated with CVMS

o Card Cancellation, Stolen requests captured in SAP and integrated with CVMS.

o Commission statement earned by TRADEX business to be recorded in SAP interfaced with in-house TRADEX online system.

• Merchant Settlement: It’s a process through which ITZ makes payments to the end Merchant like IRCTC based on contractual terms and Card utilization report received from CVMS. This could not be mapped as a standard MM – Contracts and payment module as Number of transactions, Amount of utilization were some of the key points on the basis of which the Commission of ITZ were decided.

Z Cycle for the whole process created with the following processes:

o Z Contracts based upon the Key terms

o Seamless interface between CVMS and SAP which runs a program in the latter based on the data received from CVMS which calculates the Commission earned and settlement amount for the day and passes related FI entries for the same.

o Extensive Use of Z-Tables wherever required to capture data to be used for their Important MIS Reporting on Commission, Discounts, Utilization Figures, Planned v/s Actuals for various periods etc.

• Reverse Inclusive Pricing Structure: Incorporation of Reverse Pricing Procedure (Tax Inclusive) for trading related activities for TRADEX business.

1. Lead MM/ IM Consultant for Inventory and purchasing related Activities which included:

It is a Real Estate company where I have Lead MM/IM Team and also handled Country India Version.

High Point:

Godrej Properties is a real estate development company within the Godrej Group of businesses. At GPL, the challenge was the fact that most of their work processes are outsourced to contractors and their sub-contractors contrary to other real estate businesses. As a result, the business is able to generate excellent Revenue per head count but also needs to tightly handle, monitor and control all its contracts.

1. Running Account Bill generation from SAP for the Service Contracts created with the outsourced contractors which forms Major Backbone of the business processes.

2. Mapping of Unique Process of QRO - Quote Rate items in Service Contracts.

Project: Watson Pharma Pvt. Ltd (July 2007 – March 2008)

Role: Lead MM/ IM Consultant

This is a Pharmaceuticals company, where I have handled MM/ IM and Country India Version [CIN]. CIN related processes were especially very complex in this company since it had a mix of DTA and export oriented units where the processes are entirely different. I have also functionally managed a custom Z-Cycle for EOU related processes as SAP does not support EOU – Bond processes.

High Point:

1. Implementation of Country India Version – TAXINN Procedures

2. Implementation of Manufacturing Part Profile and adaptation of all MM Processes according to GMP Norms

3. EOU Bond Processes: One of the Client’s Manufacturing Unit got declared EOU Unit just days before Go Live. Standard SAP does not support Bond registers or EOU related processes required to be maintained for each EOU plant. Developed a complete custom Z-Process to handle Incoming and outgoing Excise and other duties in EOU Register. Successfully implemented the solution in the EOU Plant

Received Formal Client appreciation for the support provided to the Procurement Department and for the EOU Processes mapped which was not part of Standard SAP processes and which has also been acknowledged by IBM.

• Handling a team of 12 people on the project and meeting the crunched deadline

• Handling of high volume data around 32 Lakh Articles during the implementation of the project.

Responsibilities:

Roll out project for New Merchandising Hierarchy consisting of following responsibilities:

1. Reclassification of Old Articles

2. Finalizing the New MCH Hierarchy.

3. Coordinating with various team members and departments during the various phases of the project.

4. Handling Promotions of the Articles getting reclassified at the Point of Sale so that the activity doesn’t impact Sales at the stores.

Lootmart is a pantaloon group company for the Fashion line of business.

High Point:

Assortment Planning & Merchandise Distribution Methods: This particular LOB’s major business running depended upon the merchandise being automatically planned/ pushed based on certain fixed percentages to its Stores.

Responsibilities:

• MM & IM related Customizing Settings for the New Company Code being created.

• Assortment Planning and Merchandise Distribution Process for Logistics

ConvergeM is a pantaloon group company for the communications line of business. It deals in mobile phone, mobile accessories, and recharge cards.

High Point:

Bar code enabled system: This is a very important feature for Retail industry, since all the merchandise flow for the company totally depends upon scanning the Barcodes attached on the merchandise. The project involved extensive application and support of Barcodes through SAP. Also developed a Barcode generation program, the output of the program which is text file is integrated with Third Party software to generate Barcodes to be attached to the merchandise.

Responsibilities:

• MM & IM related Customizing Settings.

• Roll-Out the Business Processes laid down for the LOB to the business Users.

ETAM - France is a pantaloon group company for the inner wear Line of Business (LOB).

High Point:

The major process integrated for the company was Consignment Process, where the standard SAP consignment process hardly fulfilled the company requirements. Developed a Z-cycle to overcome major hurdle which was Contract maintenance against the vendor for every Merchandise category and not Material wise.
