Intuit,Inc San Diego,US Software Engineer 1 Jul 2014 to Present Working as Software Engineer 1 as a services level back-end java programmer for Get Data team part of Consumer Tax Group which delivers premier tax product TurboTax. Services assist the front-facing desktop, online and mobile Turbotax applications. Typically working in java, REST-ful web services and Spring, writing unit and integration tests for the service level code using testng, mockito, wiremock framework. Job profile also includes troubleshooting the bugs in the product, assisting in maintenance tasks and coordinating between different teams part of the services workflow. Durable Profile APIs for Customers Tax Profiles : Intuit, Inc Jun 2016 Contributed at the concept, design and implementation level partnering as an only engineer with the architect. The idea was to solve for scalability and mitigate the performance load in terms of response times to fetch all of consumers tax profile information from the data- platform. By leveraging in-house solutions of caching, de-duping and fetching/updating only snippets of profile through xml preprocessing reduced the response times for REST calls vs fetching/modifying the entire document on every call. Import for QBSE and 1099 forms : Intuit, Inc Oct 2015 Wrote the aggregation APIs to deliver Schedule C information to clients consuming the QuickBooks Self-employed Service and information obtained from1099 providers.

Git Flow, Branching Strategy and Jenkins : Intuit, Inc Mar 2015 Leverage the widely used Git Flow to solve the business-problem of releasing only that code which has been unit and integration tested. Built a POC and designed a hands-on training session for the team to experiment with the branching model and familiarize with what-to-do- when use-cases. This has been adopted as a solution ever since and has gathered attention from few other teams at Intuit who do not wish to release buggy code to production. Nov 2014 Implemented the services level functionality to import prior year competitor and native tax files uploaded by year over year transferred customers for TurboTax online that would pre-populate our widgets screens on TurboTax online. IMDB-FACEBOOK MASHUP ANDROID APPLICATION:(Prof Ellis Horowitz) Oct 2012 Scrapped the IMDB website using PERL regular expressions for a webpage, formulated an XML and parsed using a SAX parser . JSON object was created to display the contents in a new customized web page using JAVASCRIPT . Facebook API was used to login and share the information.
