Department: Pharma Tech

The purpose of the system was to offer a full range of marketing services to help clients connect with their customers anytime and anywhere. Epsilon is world's largest permission-based email marketing provider, sending over 40 billion emails annually. After receiving data from different vendors in form of pipe delimited, fixed length or XML files, system processes them through file receipt, validation, convert all the way till ODS, CDM and RDM. At the end of processing campaigns were run to filter out the data so that email or direct email can be sent to right recipient at right time.

Responsibilities:

Designed and developed many Tables, Store Procedures, functions and Triggers.

Involved in meetings with business users to understand the requirements.

Used Job Control System(JCS) to schedule and automate the batch processing.

Wrote various Korn Shell scripts to load data into temp tables as well as creating extracts for sending data back to vendors.

It would also include sending of lot master for any new lots picked and recorded during pick confirmation followed by an inventory adjustment transaction to move the inventory from ‘COLOT’ to the lot on pick confirmation.
