PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1845 Oil Field Services, Houston, TX, August 2014 – Present

General Manager of Logistics and Business Development

Directly responsible for supply chain operations and business development along with planning, organizing, and implementing projects and programs throughout the organization.

Start-up for 5 new locations in Victoria, TX, Pleasanton, TX, San Antonio, TX, Williston, ND and Odessa, TX. Within a 12 month period all locations were staffed and operational, dispatching hundreds of trucks servicing multiple customers.

Created individualized reporting metrics template for 3 of the company’s largest customers. By utilizing the reporting metrics template which provides information such as average LOH, cost per mile, average detention per load, average loading & unloading hours we were able to secure an additional 30 million in annual gross revenue by showing the value our service provides.

Implemented dedicated style delivery program into oilfield structure. By redesigning the delivery system, turn ratios were increased by over 100% which resulted in growing the operation in Texas from 300 trucks to over 700 trucks in a 6 month time period. This also allowed for rapid expansion with multiple customers utilizing the dedicated model.

Designed employee training manual resulting in faster integration of “start-up” terminals into the system. Employee training manual has been implemented for all on-boarding of newly hired employees company wide.

Assembled Safety Audit Team. 700+ driver’s DQ files audited and made compliant in 30 day period.

Universal Truckload Services Inc, Pittsburgh, PA, October 2011 – August 2014

Regional Manager

Oversaw the Northeast region which generated 100 million dollars in revenue and was composed of 80+ terminals that supply transportation solutions for multiple customers throughout North America.

Streamlined Ryder/GE Locomotive warehousing program in Erie, PA to accommodate JIT shuttle moves.

By utilizing Lean Six Sigma practices warehouse workforce head count was reduced by 3 and warehouse output was increased 85%.

Managed Camp Hill, PA Menlo Logistics warehousing consolidation program. Consolidated multiple shipments going to Air Force & Army bases around the United States into single truckloads. Consolidation created additional truckload capacity as well as resulting in $2,000 to $4,000 in savings per load.

Created Excel based sales tool allowing for quick access to customer data, margins, and sales trends. Sales tool adopted and approved by all subsidiary companies for implementation in field operations.

Secured Wal-Mart GM account for Northeast, Midwest, and Southwest regions. Added an additional 3 million in annual revenue to existing regions.

Implemented terminal brokerage program increasing available capacity by 300% and annual revenue by 42%.

Greatwide Dedicated Logistics, Houston, TX, April 2010 – October 2011

Operations Center Manager

Directly responsible for 17 million dollar operational budget of center (33+) hourly and salaried associates supplying transportation solutions for multiple customers throughout the United States using Owner Operators (165+) that operates 24/7 and provides dedicated transportation solutions for customers such as Wal-Mart, Sam’s Clubs, DFA, Kroger, and Associated Wholesale Grocers.

Implemented “Wal-Mart Seasonal Inventory Consolidation” program utilizing Lean Six Sigma practices for outside vendor warehousing. By implementing inventory consolidation program a savings of $6,000 per day was gained. Project entailed monitoring and routing specific vendor loads of multiple products for consolidation at a single point shipping out to various locations throughout the Southwest.

Developed a comprehensive Disaster Recovery contingency plan. Responsible for drafting, implementing and managing all relief efforts for the 2007 hurricane season. This included logistics planning to provide vital relief supplies to numerous DC’s and offsite facilities for our dedicated accounts.

Negotiated multi-terminal salvage rates with several key vendors and improved overall vendor relationships by restructuring our current salvage processes. Savings averaged $90,000 per year per terminal in recouped claim dollars.

Provided support, information, and guidance in researching and recommending new opportunities and value propositions that impacted customer’s service levels, operating costs, and profit.

Wal-Mart liaison for Region III responsible for providing reporting metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to customer and Sr. Leadership groups.
