In the Global Server Operations department we provide global support to over 500 Dell PowerEdge servers, and over 80,000 users. I am personally responsible for 40+ servers running several different applications including Altaris, SQL, Oracle, IIS, and Citrix. Part of my experience involves the support of a 5 server Citrix Farms. We have Dell 2600, 2650, 6600, 6650, and PowerVault systems. The servers are running in a mixed NT/2000/2003 environment. All servers are configured with NetBackup. Support tickets are generated through Remedy.

A solutions provider company, 26 companies and 400+ users. Supported Exchange 2003, IP phones, RightFax, BlackBerry and Internet access. Responsible for the management of the Exchange Server, Retrospect Backups, Sybari AntiVirus, and the GoodLink server for BlackBerry administration. Setup of Netscreen 5 and 10 for new clients.

Y2 Marketing 02/2003 – 02/2004

IT Manager

Manage all parts of the corporate and desktop systems. Responsible for 80+ users internally and supported 1000+ agents nationwide. The internal network consisted of 6 servers running Windows 2000 Server and 80 desktops running Windows XP. The network was fully AD integrated with Microsoft Exchange 2003. The network was firewalled by a Cisco Pix 515 with Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition 8.1, and backups were configured using Veritas Backup Exec.

Moved the entire network from Desoto to Irving. On-site coordination of vendors such as Qwest, NEC, Logixx, and Verizon. Setup wiring and hardware in preparation for employee arrival the following day. Combined T1 contracts though Qwest saving Y2 thousands of dollars per year.

Network Engineer

Part of an 11 man team responsible for over 250 Compaq Proliant servers in 7 call centers nationwide and in Canada and 5400 users. I personally configured and racked 30+ servers in Compaq 7000, 9000, and 10000 series racks.

Configurations Included: Installing Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Trend Micro Anti-Virus, setting up Terminal Services, configuring and installing Tivoli Backup client, cable and racking the servers into the data Center.

Integral part of the migration from Windows NT 4 to Windows 2000 Active Directory. Traveled to remote sites to upgrade the domain controllers as part of the process.

Integrated several productivity upgrades into the network, including Bindview, CA Unicenter, RightFax, Mytech, and TeleReach. Supported Network remotely utilizing Terminal Services, and Compaq Remote Insight Board.
