THE LEGACY SENIOR COMMUNITIES (Plano, TX) – HR Director 04/2014-08/2016

Served as key member of Corporate Leadership Team and HR Leader to corporate headquarters and four companies across four locations in the DFW area. Dual reporting to CFO/COO and CEO. Insurance Committee and Safety Committee representative.

Managed a team of four HR professionals who provided HR support to over 500 employees.

Implemented strategic programs to reduce turnover. Implemented Applicant Tracking System and developed strategic recruitment plan to include social media and university outreach.

Oversaw compensation and benefits programs, including updating of compensation plan, implementation of ACA compliance requirements, and 403(b) administration and auditing. Responsible for four bi-weekly payrolls.

Served as advisor to business unit leadership in all aspects of Human Resources. Provided advice, counsel, and coaching to employees and managers regarding employee issues. Conducted investigations and made recommendations for action. Worked with external counsel on responses to EEOC charges.

Directed the employee relations function with responsibility for internal investigations, performance management and corrective action, termination of employment, employee engagement and recognition initiatives.

AMERICAN ADDICTION CENTERS (Grand Prairie, TX) – HR Manager 04/2013-03/2014

Reorganized the HR Department for this start-up residential treatment center for drug and alcohol addiction including auditing of existing processes and procedures for compliance, best

practice, and quality improvement. Manage all Human Resources functions for this 100+ employee facility. Duties include HR administration; redevelopment of processes and procedures; recruiting of clinical, medical, operations and administrative staff; payroll administration; performance management; HR compliance; employee relations; and management of unemployment, EEO and workers compensation claims.

PREMIER COMMUNITIES (Dallas, TX) – HR Director 2009- 2013

Manage all Human Resources functions for this 200-employee, multi-location residential property management company including: recruitment and orientation; employee relations, counseling, and terminations; payroll and benefits management and administration; compliance management (FMLA, COBRA, OSHA, etc.); unemployment, EEO, and workers comp claims; and performance and training program management. Develop, implement and interpret HR policies and procedures.

Implemented ADP payroll and time and labor management programs.

Implemented company’s first safety program. Developed safety policies, procedures, and training programs.

Implemented Applicant Tracking System.

Developed company intranet. Responsible for ongoing administration and content.

JBI PARTNERS, INC. (Addison, TX) – HR Manager 2005–2009

Established Human Resources Department for JBI Partners, Inc., a professional design and consulting firm of civil engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, planners, and construction managers.
