Senior Human Resources Manager

Responsible for all Human Resource and Safety functions for 700 employees at 3 different plants. I revised the employee handbook to comply with both federal and state law. Reported to the General Manager and the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources.

Martinrea Heavy Stamping – Shelbyville KY 2012 to 2014

Human Resources Manager

Responsible for all Human Resource and Safety functions for 1000 employees consisting of both union (UAW) and non-union employees. I oversaw the hiring of 850 employees between June and December of 2012, implemented manual dexterity testing, pre-employment physicals, and hired a contract nurse to manage worker compensation issues resulting in 1.2MM Workers Comp reserve savings. Reported to the General Manager and the Corporate Director of Human Resources for North America.

Johnson Controls Inc. – Shelbyville KY 2005 – 2012

Human Resources Manager. Responsible for all Human Resource and Safety functions for 480 employees consisting of both union (UAW) and non-union employees. I put a kiosk in the cafeteria that allowed employees to sign up for overtime, FMLA, vacation, and personal time off which resulted in the reduction of 5 employees in the Human Resources Department for a 300K savings. Reported to the Plant Manager and the Regional Human Resources Manager.

ThyssenKrupp Budd Company – Shelbyville, KY 2000-2005

Human Resources Manager. Responsible for all Human Resources functions for 1100 employees consisting of both union (UAW) and non-union employees. I put a kiosk in the cafeteria that allowed employees to sign up for overtime, FMLA, vacation, and personal time off which resulted in a 225K savings. Reported to the Plant Manager and the Corporate Human Resources Manager (Body Sector).

Yamamoto FB Engineering L.L.C. – Louisville, KY 1998-2000

Human Resource Manager. Responsible for all Human Resource and safety functions for 125 non-union employees. I oversaw the addition of approximately a 60 thousand square foot addition to the plant.

Jeffboat Incorporated – Jeffersonville, IN 1996-1998

Employee Relations Officer. Responsible for all Human Resource functions for 1200 employees consisting of both union (Teamsters) and non-union employees. I implemented a hands on interviewing process that reduced the turnover rate by 40% which saved approximately $80K in on-boarding expenses.

Raytheon E-Systems – Garland, TX 1986-1996

Electronic Design Technician. Responsible for classified/unclassified testing of deliverable hardware from unit level to final customer acceptance. Held Department of Defense (DOD) Top Secret Security Clearance.

Chairperson UAW Local 848

Negotiated and administered two Labor Agreements. Arbitrated many grievances and represented the Union in charges before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
