Drilling Engineer, 2015-2016

While working the Delaware Basin in the field, performed daily decision making from spud to running and cementing production casing for three horizontal wells (15,000’ MD) and one water disposal well (20,000’ MD). Worked with drilling field foreman, company employees, drilling rig managers, drillers, derrick operators, motor operators, roustabouts, and service field representatives. While working in office, data-mined in WellView, finding depths and volumes associated with losses encountered while drilling. Implemented methods, reducing nonproductive time while drilling and during rig moves. Created loss-zone map, utilizing information extracted from WellView. Assisted with lost circulation strategy, avoiding future drilling losses.

Evaluated corrosion chemicals used while drilling, reducing costs by 20%.

Delegated tasks and responsibilities to drilling crew, and also led daily safety meetings

Devised water shut-off project, improving well performance.

Increase of 1,000 MCF of gas on offsets and reduction of water production by 90%.

Reservoir Intern, 2013

Assessed water-flood feasibility project in the Permian Basin, and proved it to be economical. Forecasted decline curves on recompleted wells, estimating incremental reserves for future recompletions. Worked with engineers, expanding understanding of petroleum field.

TANA EXPLORATION COMPANY, LLC, Houston, Texas

Field Intern, 2012
