Chief Operating Officer- SGRTex, LLC., Eden, NC (September 2014- November 2015)

Brought on board to create a new start-up $45 million business in the United States for Indian investors.

Manage and oversee entire scope of a start-up business to encompass all activities relating to the new

Eden facility including: Communication, Company Policies, Cost Savings Programs, Human Resources, Key Performance Indicators, Leadership Training, Manufacturing, Operations, Overall Organizational Performance Management, Profit and Loss, Quality, Safety, Strategic Business Planning and Vision.

Successfully developed and implemented procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow, and thereby solidified management control and direction of SGR Textiles.

Established Cost Saving Program by implementing Case Studies, Continuous Improvement, Energy Conservation and Recycle Programs.

Developed a Total Quality System to include: Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

During the Operation and Manufacturing set-up the following were implemented: 5S (Methodology), BOS, One Point Lessons, GMP, OGSM Models, Site Operations Manual, SOP’s, and SWOT Analysis.

Initiated a Leadership Program to enable growth of leadership through training and mentoring the

Regional Manager- XLC Services, Greensboro, NC – Procter & Gamble FDA Regulated Sites (2005-2014)

Manage 11 direct reports including responsibilities for engineering services, sales calls, operations, administrative, and logistics teams for 7 locations (over 600 associates) across the country including 2 start-up operations in 2012. Sites included Oral Care, Beauty Care, Health Care, Coffee, Pet Care and Paper products.

Reduced Non Salary Expenses by 75% by utilizing Continuous Improvement strategies in training new hires.

Led the start-up of two new sites penetrating new target markets in 3PL business. Included the start-up of a new warehouse facility in the food industry for General Mills Inc. ensuring compliance to AIB standards.

Developed flow-to-work strategies that lowered internal costs and increased savings of over $125,000 to clients, increasing growth by over 50% in 5 of 7 locations.

SITE DIRECTOR/Plant Manager- Karastan Carpet/Rug Operations Facility- Mohawk Industries, Eden, NC (10 years)

Managed team of nine direct reports that included Area managers with manufacturing responsibilities.

Integrated rug and broadloom finishing lines by reducing processes from five steps to one, dramatically improving on-time delivery and reducing inventory levels by 20%. These results were realized by utilizing lean, breakthrough DMAIC methods. (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control.)

Guided facility growth, in 1997-2000, with employment growth of 100+ employees and 13.5 million-dollar capital expansion involving the restructuring of the finishing department utilizing lean concepts.

Redefined facility operations structure utilizing lean concepts reducing labor costs by 20% immediately after assuming Plant Manager Role. This began a series of nine record years of profitability for the site.

Successfully negotiated three Union contract with UNITE – 1994, 1997, 2000.
