Project:

Human-machine interaction using gesture recognition (4th year Project) under the guidance of Dr. R. N. Ghosh (Professor of St. Thomas College of Engineering & Technology). In this project, a bulb rotates both horizontally and vertically with the using of gesture(hand movements etc.),taking snapshot of bulb at every different angles and plot the illumination characteristics of bulb and interpret the illumination characteristics. This project work have done with the help of MATLAB programming and also using the arduino for dc motor interfacing. The main application of this project is in industrial purposes for checking very easily whether a bulb is defective or not. Because of this gesture recognition it is also applicable to handicapped people (especially for a dumb person) who can operate any electronic gadget (like television, laptop etc.) without using any remote control, just by using gesture like movement of hands or any organs of his body.
