RELATED ACADEMIC PROJECTS:

Smart Display Device March 2016-May 2016

Successfully designed an electronic wall sign based on IoT which shows the status and tweets made by the user on the display device.

Wi-Fi Data logger March 2016-April 2016

Temperature sensor data was read from Renesas RX63N and sent to a web server periodically using the Wi-Fi module.

Real Time Priority based Tiny Web Server January 2016 – April 2016

Developed a web server that interacts with the client, mainly web browsers through a pool of worker thread based on the Producer-Consumer model.

Programming Bare-Metal ARM with QEMU – Embedded Linux Programming February 2016 – March 2016

Developed and compiled Linux kernel image for ARM Versatile Board. Booted Linux kernel using U boot loader and configured the root file system using Busybox.

CPU Performance Evaluation January 2016 – April 2016

Implemented matrix multiplication on virtually simulated ARM processor and analyzed the cache performance for varying associativity and block size and different level of data caches using Gem5 simulator.

UART Device Driver January 2016 – April 2016

Implemented a Linux device driver for UART terminals on the emulated ARM VersatilePB board. It was a simple character driver which reads and writes to the UART data register by polling.

Automatic Guitar Tuner January 2015 – May 2015

Designed a guitar tune in which Piezo-electric sensors were used to measure the frequency of the strings and servo motors were used to rotate the tuning pegs in order to tune the strings. Arduino UNO and TMS320C6713 DSP starter kit were used to develop the tuner.

Appliance Control Using Clap Activated Hand Gesture Recognition System January 2014 – May 2014

Designed a system which can be used to control the intensity/speed of home appliances like fans and lights by hand gestures. The system was activated by a clap. The camera was used to capture the hand gestures and the processing was done using an Arduino UNO and MATLAB.
