Highlights:

Process Engineer (Continental Emitec, Fountain Inn, SC)

Managed processes for manufacture of catalytic converter cores. Assisted with bringing new products to market via PPAP submissions. Assisted with new product development conducted in Fountain Inn. Upgraded the manufacturing processes and custom tooling development. Initiated cost saving system in the tooling area and improved machine throughput. Initiated a cost / work planning system for tooling and other areas of the plant where none existed before.

Logistics Planning Specialist (VWGoA, Chattanooga Operations)

Helped manage a successful launch of the 411 (US Passat). Massive international travel involved during the plant planning phase and processes / systems development, successful conclusion. Daily involvement in equipment / process / packaging, engineering change management / tracking. Multiple projects completed that have reduced costs on a plant and departmental basis. Multiple facelift program participating in the logistics area. (design / development)

Packaging Planner (design / development) (Integral Solutions) (BMW Plant 10 Spartanburg, SC)

Successfully managed packaging / logistics cost savings programs across all assembly lines within BMW plant 10 Spartanburg. Management of on track, on time cost reduction projects with a $300,000.00 per year savings. Successful management / development of packaging for VPS / supermarket system implementation for the X5 / X6 door assembly line. The door line implementation avoided $2,800,000.00 in capital and operating expense without significant increase in logistics costs.

Translated and assisted in writing the new packaging manual for BMW worldwide, along with several international packaging and labeling standards. Two years of managing several reports (including interns) while on site at BMW plant 10.

Logistics Coordinator (Röchling Automotive US)

Developed and planned 3 new warehouses incorporating both chaos and FIFO pull systems. Trained in SAP SD, material management, material movement, and master data in order to train others in the same modules as part of the core team integrating SAP into the firm as the primary ERP system. Fluency in German greatly assisted in this effort as the training took place at the home office of the corporation in Germany. Designed, developed, and purchased packaging systems (2.2 million +) for two major high end OEM automotive clients as a tier one supplier. Developed packaging (dunnage) pull system for internal use to assist production in increasing efficiency.

Consulting Quality Engineer (JCI, Athens, TN)

Extensive foreign travel experience with on site work in Mexico City concerning a new seating launch for Ford F350 trucks. Sequential manufacturing monitoring in Clinton, TN and Cottondale, AL for the purpose of quality control and process improvement back at the Athens home plant. I developed packaging and quality identification systems leading to process improvements at the Athens plant.

Program manager (Ogihara)

Body in white program manager new vehicles, engineering changes. Launched three new model years, extensive foreign travel / coordination involved. Extensive tooling experience was most valuable in assisting in fine tuning die and assembly machine changes required to facilitate engineering changes for Mercedes M class. Assisted in development of CKD panel shipment systems and start up for offsite manufacture of Mercedes M class vehicles in Gratz Austria. Multiple on site representations in Europe to facilitate start up operations of M class manufacturing.

Tooling engineer (Benteler)

Development of tool maintenance programs for multiple part family dies including 1600 ton transfer press tooling systems to decrease down time.

Associate Engineer (Walker Tenneco)

Development of new stainless steel hydro formed exhaust systems for Ford Taurus / Mercury Sable platforms that included on site monitoring and process development in Germany. I gained extensive experience in hydro forming technology utilizing 316 and 304 stainless steel tubing.
