Health Net, Inc. (Health Insurance) Sr. Programmer Analyst (November 2002 - January 2008)

On System i5, using ILE RPG, developed software for CSC to MC400 data conversion. Developed various utilities using ILE RPG, CL, DDS, SQL and FTP: Job/Program Cross-reference Database (job to root programs and call stacks); VFYPGMLIST command (compiled record format level ID checks); SETLLJOBD command (sets library list from job description). Designed and developed an automated Claims Transmissions Reconciliation Facility of all vendor-received data transmissions to ensure all claims were loaded to the scanned image server (MACESS) and the MC400 claims database. Designed and developed on System i5, an automated FTP Claims Transmissions Retrieval Facility for retrieving data transmissions from Windows NT server. Designed and developed iSeries AS/400 security architecture. Performed application architecture analysis to improve security, performance, efficiencies and reliability. Performed ongoing application trouble-shooting and support.

CTC Communications, Inc. (Telecommunications) Sr. Developer/Project Leader (January 1998 - October 2002)

Installed and configured Connect:Direct data transmission software for OS/400. On AS/400, using ILE RPG, CL and DDS, designed and developed automated Receive Monitor Tracking System for carrier-transmitted daily usage feeds and billing detail, porting files between AS/400s via FTP, performing transmission validation, auto-load staging and tracking database posting. Designed and developed automated Multi-Switch Load/Rate Monitor System for all carrier-transmitted daily usage feeds. Designed and developed a corporate reporting data warehouse called IntelliSCORE, presented via Lotus Notes, representing all bookings, churn and on-net/off-net revenue at various levels and product categories, supporting operational reporting metrics and commissions. Also, defined IntelliSCORE universe and web-accessible reports using Business Objects/Web Intelligence. Designed and developed Revenue Assurance and Margin Calculation System, interfacing with APTIS billing database. On AS/400, designed and developed a multi-platform, automated backup system. Performed various project leads and shop management, managing up to eight programmers and contract developers.

Enterprise Software Solutions Group (Consulting Firm) Sr. Programmer Analyst (October - December 1997)

10 week contract: State of California, Department of Developmental Services. Conducted analysis, coding modifications, and unit testing on AS/400 to accomplish year-2000 conversion of the Uniform Fiscal System. Developed various utilities and tools to assist in analysis using ILE RPG.

Littelton Coin Company (Direct Mail Marketer) Sr. Programmer Analyst (August 1996 - October 1997)

Responsible for development, testing, and implementation of all enhancements and modifications to an integral company application called the Buy-Signal Forecasting System. Major accomplishment: Completed AS/400 RPG III to ILE RPG IV and year-2000 conversion of the Buy-Signal Forecasting System.

Responsible for design and development of various business, distribution and inventory-control applications, and their maintenance and enhancements. Responsible for database administration, review and approval of all proposed database changes. Perform all candidate, technical screening interviews. Applications support: on-line query, multi-user data entry, and batch processing on multiple IBM AS/400s. Major accomplishment: Design and development of the Forward Warehouse Inventory-Control Reporting and Replenishment System.

Responsible for design and development of various business, accounting, and manufacturing applications and enhancements. Performed review duties of proposed database and programming solutions. Applications support: on-line query, data entry, and batch processing on IBM AS/400. Major accomplishments: Designed and developed the Medical Device Service Reporting and Inspection Scheduling System; designed and developed the Manufacturing Lead-Time/Ship-Date Calculator System.

Telesphere Comm., Inc. (Telephone/Operator Services) Programmer Analyst (July 1988 - August 1991)

Responsible for performing design and development of various business and financial applications and enhancements. Applications support menu-driven, on-line query, batch report and tape processing on an IBM SYSTEM/38. Major accomplishment: Developed the program and algorithms for all telephone call, mileage-band rating and call pricing; developed the Credit Card Call, EDI application.

Clark Construction Group, Inc. (Commercial Construction) Programmer Analyst (July 1987 - July 1988)

Responsible for development of financial and accounting applications; performed maintenance of a purchased construction industry software package (McKOSKER) on multiple IBM SYSTEM/38s. Major accomplishment: Developed an integral operational reporting tool.
