WorleyParsons Consultancy Practice – Implementing project controls processes to the organization across multiple industries (oil & gas, environmental regulation, rail, ports and terminals, bulk material handling, etc.). Also served as Project Controls Manager on the Cantarell Offshore Water Project which consisted of pre-FEED design, development of contracting strategy, identification of long lead items, and initiation of the Invitation to Bid process for subcontractors. Project is being executed on a lump sum basis with EBIT percentages forecast better than budget.
SPEC Cartagena LNG Regasification Terminal – Served as Project Controls Manager in a Project Management Consultancy (Owner’s Representative) capacity providing expertise to the client in managing scheduling and cost control functions, and oversight of the EPC Contractor through initiation of rigorous control programs and procedures. Ensured that EPC Contractor was performing to schedule, achieving milestones, executing gap analyses for variances to mutually agreed scope of work, and performance management.
BPTT Produced Water/Condensate Handling Project & Offshore Pipelines/Topsides Interface - Accountable for the management of project controls activities including scheduling, cost controls, estimating, workflow development, procedures and budget oversight. This project involved the Engineering and Project Management Services for onshore facilities and pipelines in Trinidad. Work included the development of a facility to process produced water and associated interfaces. Completed the Select phase, with the Define and Execute phases of project development pending. (Total Installed Cost estimate including contingency was $1.2 billion.)
BP Gulf of Mexico Program - Managed project controls activities including necessary interface with the client and internal engineering functions. Responsible for the oversight of project controls activities including scheduling, cost controls, invoicing and work procedures. This project consisted of the Brownfield Engineering and Project Management Services for Offshore Facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. Work included Major Project expansion and Asset Services upgrades for eight BP facilities. The work addressed Appraise, Select, Define and Execute phases of project development. Led team of approximately 35 people.
Marathon Natural Gas Treatment Plant and Offshore Compression Projects – Developed and implemented project controls tools for the effective control of schedule and cost of a major capital project ($2+ billion). Focused on front-end engineering design (FEED) phase. Also accountable for the program (overall project) schedule, interfacing with client business development, engineering leads & other project management personnel to meet project objectives. Oversaw schedule and cost control of the design of an off-shore compression platform, including implementation of accommodations and refurbishment of existing facilities in Equatorial Guinea.
