POSITION TITLE: Distribution Center Supervisor
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The position is tasked to manage routing operations of the Greater Manila Area Distribution Center from receiving/replenishment of stocks from different manufacturing plant to the dispatch to different trade customers in GMA and selected Modern and General Trade provincial accounts to include domestic and international export. Administration and analysis of the daily stock position of the warehouse ensuring that the inventory on floor is sufficient enough to cover customer sales order for both corporate and external principals at any given time. Optimization of the warehouse space and execute appropriate adjustment for the growing number of SKUs and sustain volume sales growth during peak season, ensuring that space adjustment is within the principle of Good Warehousing Practice. Render periodical management KPIs reports serving as yardstick to gauge operational efficiency and productivity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Oversees and analyzes daily receiving and issuances of stocks from and to different origins and destinations;
• Works with the Distribution & Resources Planning and/or corporate PPIC on the incoming stock replenishment, gives schedules and the maximum number of trucks to be received with the receiving cut off;
• Projects and allocates space and logistics resources for the daily stock receiving;
• Coordinates with the System Admin Supervisor on the inventory issues and stock positions daily;
• Provides the DRP and the Freight & Transport Management Sections daily exception reports (i.e. receipts of product with quality problem and charges to 3PL providers) thru email;
• Collaborates with different Business Development Managers on the servicing of selected, preferred trade accounts with unique pre-delivery requirements (i.e. Food Service and some government agencies);
• Attends to the request of the BU export department on the export product allocations, requirements and the actual dispatch of export sales domestic and international;
• Updates the export department on the periodical stock status and request for replenishment whenever needed. Near expiry products are coordinated for the proper disposition;
Prepares and accomplishes weekly, monthly and quarterly operations reports based on the set Professional Qualifications
Education
KRAs for presentation to the ManCom.
Monitors movement and utilization of rented ECR wooden pallets, reconciles inventory with the records of the providers and validates, check accuracy of monthly billing before the preparation of check payment request;
Evaluates performance of the direct reports to determine capabilities to the assigned task and recommends recognition and rewards for the deserving employees and disengagement for the poor performers.
