Designed a device that climbed a common rope hung from the top of the 8-story building in Oakland University. Measured the distance from the ground and provided audio output every 3 seconds using a voice chip to record voice or any other sound. Prioritized the system for the project in; locomotion method, fail safe, distance tracking, and audio output.
Determined the torque that is required to lift the device.
