US Navy 20+ Years

Quality Assurance Inspector

Extensive knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, methods, and processes, Aerospace Propulsion systems and Principles of operations, Avionics and electrical systems.

Scheduled and performed quality assurance inspections and in process on aircraft structures and propulsion major subassemblies, including fuel cells, fuel distribution systems, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic parts, components, integrated complex egress/escape systems, environmental control systems, oxygen and cryogenics systems, and fire suppression systems.

Recorded and documented production and test anomalies and outcomes via Optimized-Organizational Maintenance Activity (Naval Aviation Maintenance) database. As a Quality Assurance Inspector I have routinely observed technical operations and offered my guidance and/or serve as an additional technical resource ensuring mission success. During my time as a Quality Assurance Inspector I qualified 63 addition Quality Assurance Inspectors increasing the Naval Aviation aircraft system quality and maintenance programs by 12 percent in my organization.

Professional knowledge on GSE System requirements, procedures, licensing and inspection of the program as well as general associated equipment. Administer GSE test and evaluations on a daily basis.

Qualified as a Quality Assurance Full Systems Inspector on Avionics and Aircraft Electrical systems. Routinely observe technical operations and critical maintenance actions ensuring highest quality repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes.

Production Control and Facility Manager

Conducted daily production control meetings to determine department schedule, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of over 250 technicians.

Inspected and reviewed aircraft log books determining and certifying aircraft safe for flight status, manage aircraft weight and balance certifications and aircraft configuration changes, monitor production control work areas, examine tools and equipment, reviewed computer-aided design (CAD), review blueprints for aircraft structure correctness and for airworthiness changes; provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.

Examine production and manufacturing processes, systems specifications, facility requirements and analyze information to determine if the product/process either conform/non-conform to the needed contract or organizations specifications.

Maintained a process improvement program using Lean Six Sigma / Air Speed practices along with the Constant Process Improvement. Representative between defense contractors and the command to coordinate contract work between Navy and civilian personnel for aircraft repair scheduling, equipment repair, and logistics.

Departmental Maintenance Material Management Systems Coordinator:

Executive oversight and cross-functional program leadership responsibility for a staff of 250 personnel, 18 pilots, and 13 Naval aircraft with a combined annual budget of $63M.

Coordinate global activities and programs across, operations, maintenance, safety, supply chain. Distribute quarterly production schedules or work orders to departments. Confer with established personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.

Requisitioned and maintained inventories of material or supplies necessary to meet production demands. Track and arrange for delivery, assembly or distribution of activity supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.

Recorded production data, including volume produced, consumption of materials, or quality control measures to monitor and improve process procedures and quality assurance.
