UBS Wealth Management Front Office Technologies provide online brokerage platforms for customers and internal financial advisor community. There are currently two systems: ConsultWorks which is intranet based and used by UBS internal financial advisors (FA) and Online Services that is internet based and used by UBS customers.

Online Service is a client - server application, orchestrating services through Oracle Bpel and Configuring the Online Services is accomplished by using Rules Palette desktop Program. The business rules are separated from the core application. The business rules are what companies used to configure their product, and this separation means that companies can configure a product without making any changes to the underlying code.

The application in and around Online Services, share the common rules engine which delivers consistent and accurate calculations by leveraging a single and common rules repository.

Online Services plays a vital role when it is integrated with many other systems such as Document Maker System, Human WorkFlow (BPEL Systems) etc.

Responsibilities:

•Technical Specialist for Java UI Changes, Oracle SOA BPM and BPEL Suite.

•Developed ESB routing rules, groups and systems. Implemented the rules in Rule Engine.

I-flex Process Framework for Banking (iPFB) is a holistic process framework that assists in taking control of the entire banking business process right from the start till the end of the business transaction. For instance, when a customer visits the bank to open a savings account, iPFB process gets triggered right away. From collecting data from the application to dispatching the welcome kit, the iPFB process spans the entire transaction.

If incorporates cutting edge technology like BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) for abstract business processes and BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) for executable processes.

An abstract process is designed by a business analyst using a process modeler. The analyst also defines the associated enterprise metadata and links the processes to the same.

The executable processes are developed by the technology team. The executable processes incorporate

Human workflow and application interactions. These executable processes are instantiated as and when

Requests are triggered and remain active till the end of the transaction.

Responsibilities:

Design of processes and development of JSP taking inputs from the Abstract Process team in terms of understanding the functionality and designing JSP’s for the process.
