The role consists of supporting Specialist Nurse Counsellors (8) and the two administrative staff with all aspect of the Sickle Cell three-borough service. Liaising with GPs and hospitals, also with patients and nurses to ensure an effective collation and management of Haemoglobinopathies results. Maintain databases of diagnoses patients, both adult and children. Create and produce presentation for teaching, promotion of the service.

File Transfer Project Manager (Secondment) Apr 04 – Apr 06

The role was created due to the government directive due to the death of Victoria Climbé. The objective was to design and implement a smooth transition of all Lambeth children on to a borough access database. Liaised with IT and design teams. Worked with Child Health Services and all relevant departments to ensure all children were registered on the database.

Southwark Council Client Services Admin Officer (Contract) Dec 1996 – Feb 1998 Administrative officer for Southwark Leisure Management – Client Services Department. The role consisted of creating and maintaining accurate records for the leisure Axess Card Scheme (a discount card for residents and non-residents to obtain cheaper access to the leisure centres activities and libraries within Southwark). also to give administrative support to the Deputy Client Services Manager, Senior Client Services Officer and four Client Officers. Admin officer’s role also consisted of organising events for various age groups, one of which is held every half term for children aged 8 to 16. The event - Bobby Charlton International Soccer School is held at the borough’s cycling Veledrome (Herne Hill Stadium) for one week. It involved creating a database of names and addresses, liaising with the soccer school and printers/marketing, arranging the distribution of booking forms and leaflets to all the Southwark schools. Book the venue, staff, inviting the local councillor, photographer and a premiership celebrity footballer to attend the event.
