Drilling Operations Manager – Schlumberger Oil Field Services September 2012 – January 2014

oManaged Schlumberger IPM drilling, completion and well intervention projects in Southern Iraq based for BP, Exxon Mobile, ENI, and GPN at various fields and different geological structures. Rig fleet included (7) 1500 HP rigs and (3) 2000 HP Rigs. Key drilling challenges included; Sulphurous water flow along with sever lost circulation zones, drilling through high pressure faulty zones i.e. different formation pressure regimes (kick tolerance management “ drill with ECD margin- to control loss/gain based on narrow margin Pore-Frac window” as well as depleted reservoirs, Wellbore instability, well control, and crew competency.

oReview and approve wells program as well as identifying and minimize risks in ongoing daily operations that meet the desired well objectives as per Schlumberger policies and objectives and cost effective.

oManaged (2) 2000 HP rigs drilling operations, completions, and well intervention operations. Key drilling challenges included high H2S environment-up to 20%, highly fractured formations, lost circulation, kick tolerance management, wellbore instability and well control.
