GSL Solutions, Tampa Florida 2014 – Present

Vice President of Marketing. As Vice President of Marketing for GSL Solutions I have grown the company's customer base from 2 to over 200 customers in less than a year for the company's SaaS content management (CMS) products. Targeted towards government and educational institutions, GSL Solutions provides services that allow elected officials, teachers, parents, and other various groups to easily collect, format, communicate and share information.

• Through my efforts, GSL Solutions has been able to focus on building customized, database-driven websites utilizing its powerful content management systems in order to help its clients easily manage their websites and mobile content from any web browser.

• I have created an efficient product development process for the development teams. I work with customers and stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, and work closely with the sales teams in order to make sure that we're delivering the right product at the right time for our customers.

Enlogic Systems, Tampa, Florida 2012-2014

Director, Product Management. Recruited for novel opportunity to setup Marketing department at startup with equity stake in company. I managed the innovative Energy Metering Power Distribution Units (PDUs) product lines that were designed to simplify the delivery of power to data center racks while monitoring how much energy was being used. I managed the team that defined the company's product management process, identifying industry partners and negotiating agreements with them, researching the competition and creating sales responses to their marketing programs, and identifying new product features while working with the development team to schedule their implementation.

• I created requirements that allowed these PDUs to be used in a Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) environment. Data collected by the PDU via its energy monitoring functionality and its programmable environmental sensors could then be provided to Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems that would allow them to be used with OpenFlow interfaces to optimize updating of flow tables in OpenCloud and OpenStack based networks.

• I established global offices in the UK, Germany, United States, Singapore, Shanghai China, and Australia in an effort to connect with customers across the world for a more personalized solution to their Data Center needs.

• I researched and partnered with a number of different EMEA data center resellers and systems integrators.

Verizon, 2002 – 2012

Verizon, Tampa, Florida 2011 - 2012

Director, Product Management - Financial Services Segment. I had P&L responsibility for product launch and life-cycle management of the cloud based Verizon Financial Network (VFN) high-speed, low latency product that serves the unique needs of the global financial industry. I focused on creating an enterprise product to unseat the market leaders BT Radianz and NYSE SFTI networks. I was responsible for $8.5M in 2012 capital spending in order to fundamentally change what the product did, the customer needs that it addressed, and the price point that service was able to be delivered at. Previous capital investment resulted in a doubling of product revenue in 2011 from $32M to $60M in 2012.

• I was responsible for creating new product strategy that grew revenues from $32M to $60M in 12 months.

• I created go-to-market plans for adding additional financial data content providers (BATS, Chi-X, Access, etc.)

• I acted as a recognized technical and business expert for product line and wrote white papers and collateral.

• I developed product roadmap, collateral & sales tools, including presentations, demos, and competitive writeups

Verizon, Tampa, Florida 2010 - 2011

Director, Product Management - Intelligent Building & Energy Management Segment. I was responsible for Software Development Cycle and product launch of new cloud based facility monitoring, control, and energy management solution targeted towards multi-site property managers.

• I worked with customers to collect client business requirements and used them to define product features.

• I implemented pilot project with the City of Baltimore in order to trial solution and get customer feedback.

• I performed market research in order to identify analytics partners (Zema, Space Time Insight) and energy audit partners (Parsons Brinckerhoff, Nexant)

Verizon, Tampa, Florida 2009 - 2010

Director, Product Management – Digital Healthcare Segment. I managed the product launch of Verizon’s cloud based Healthcare Information Exchange (HIE) business unit. I was in charge of the identification and creation of new IT enterprise software and telecommunications services that met the needs of the Health Care sector.

• I conducted market research and competitive analysis for Healthcare Information Exchange (HIE) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solutions in order to size the market opportunity.

• I developed the go-to-market plans which incorporated activities related to awareness, customer acquisition and retention, and lead generation.

• I worked with Cisco to create new Telemedicine product offering for remote doctors and rural healthcare.

• I developed a business case and pricing strategy and drove the product launch strategy.

Senior Product Manager – Retail Segment. I was the leader of product launch team that managed the Software Development Lifecycle and designed a new cloud based product for Verizon’s Business Continuity / Video Surveillance business.

• I created and presented an integrated product strategy to justify creation and funding of new business unit.

• I researched 3rd-party vendors, interviewed them, selected best fit vendors, and negotiated reseller agreements.

• I provided product positioning training and materials for sales department and customer management.

• I managed P&L for product and secured $3.7M in new revenue in first six months of new product offering.

Verizon, Temple Terrace, Florida 2004 - 2007

Senior Program Manager – Retail Segment. I was the Team leader for managing Software Development Cycle and product launch of Verizon’s $6B next-generation FiOS Fiber-To-The-Premises (FTTP) all-fiber voice, data, and video network.

• I managed annual budget of $10M and had responsibility for 130 person international IT Software Development Cycle team as part of Verizon’s rollout of its for Verizon’s next-generation passive optical network

• I managed IT supply chains in order to ensure that hardware, software, staff, and data center facilities were available at correct times and in correct configurations in order to ensure successful product delivery.

Senior Product Manager - B2B Segment. I was responsible for product launch and life-cycle management of internally developed eBusiness IT software applications by developing, marketing, and supporting successful product offerings.

• I lLaunched the commercial version of Verizon’s enterprise web-based self-service application for large businesses. Application permitted service ordering, repair requests, and billing activities to be conducted securely via the Internet. Application was adopted by over 600 customers in the first year of use.
