Backup Roles & Responsibilities:

To provide 24/7 support for backup infrastructure.

To administer global backup servers, manage Storage libraries, media and tape management.

Implementation of TSM environment by planning capacity, installing, configuring TSM servers, clients.

Administered the TSM backup clients and TDP clients for Oracle, SQL ranging from v5.x to v6.2

To create new policy domains, policy sets, management class, copy groups and associate nodes according to the business retention requirements.

To create and manage storage pools and to define policies and associate nodes with data retentions based on business requirements.

Installed the newly released TSM server v7.1 and configured Node replications from one site to a different site, configured backups to new site.
