Title: Chemical Technician
- Senior Specialist in shipping, receiving and small packaging department.
- Mixed both liquid and lube products up to 70,000 gallon batches. Including packaging of these batches. (Made over 25,000 batches without any of them going to scrap or rework).
- Made bulk batches for 300 gallon totes and over the road tanker trucks.
- Loaded and unloaded over the road tanker trucks.
- Handling of dangerous chemicals – liquids and powders.
- Trained for hazardous chemical spills clean up.
- First-aid and CPR trained.
- Ran a process that used H2O, caustic, fat to make a 220-degree paste that was spread out and cooled on a belt and then chopped and run into a hammer mill coming out as a powder lube.
- Senior mixer in the powder department, while using two 30,000 LB mixers. Using bag stock and bulk powder raws. Bulk raws were added using a DYNAMIC AIR CONVEYING SYSTEM with an ALLEN BRADLY PANEL VIEW 1200 screen.
- Mixed over 1000 Chromic acid powder batches
- Took care of daily ordering and workloads for the powder department, while assigning personal to jobs and over saw the training of new people.
- Designed packaging system for powder department.
- Unloaded bulk powder tankers daily.
- Helped design a storage system to hold 50,000 lbs. of liquid steric acid that used a mass flow system to transport product to the mixing areas.
- 4 years as head of safety team – bringing a respirator program and an emergency alert program into use.
- Worked on experimental batches with chemists, for the introduction of new products into the work place.
- Have made special batches, using a nitrogen atmosphere to get a chemical reaction needed to make batch.
- Worked in lab testing some of the batches using a brinkman tester for PH, free/total acid, free/total alkalinity.
- Familiar with ISO and QS requirements
- Consistently receive superior performance ratings on employee reviews.
- Wrote work instructions for many of the new products.
- Familiar with bar code system.
