Environment and context – Springs Rescue Mission, New Life Program is a long term residential addition recovery program for men, assisting men in rehabilitation and transformation from long term substance abuse to healing, helping men transitioning from prison to society, empowering men to live a life of value and purpose instead of self-destruction and hurting others
Cultivated collaborated relationships, communicated with and processed through El Paso County Public Defender’s Office, Probation Office and other legal representatives to advocate for inmates to be released to New Life Program, with an average of 1 program intake per month
Conducted intake interviews with incarcerated inmates at El Paso Criminal Justice Center, who wanted to enter the New Life Program
Facilitated group and individual presentations
Developed 8 new educational courses that became foundational for New Life Program, equipping residents with life skills for addictions recovery
Revitalized and restructured student GED testing preparation which resulted in 100% passing rate for students attempting GED testing
Designed tracking instruments to monitor and evaluate students educational process, resulting in students setting weekly goals
Catalyst for upgrading education center computers and classroom, resulting in the purchase of 24 computers, upgrading educational software, and enabled students to acquire computer skills for successful employment
