MHP Contracting & Provider Relations (From 01,2011 to 01,24, 2014)

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

Serve as principal contact with assigned MHP contracted providers; conduct regular in

person meetings and interactions to enhance provider relationship with MHP.

Communicate billing and other changes to providers; respond to provider inquiries and

address issues of concern to providers.

Lead efforts to resolve more complex issues; assist with provider projects.

Maintain and update web based provider manual.

Write and coordinate publication and distribution of quarterly newsletter to providers.

Coordinate training sessions for providers; design training programs, develop training

materials and lead training sessions.

Support medical administration efforts to enhance relationships with clinic staff of

contracted providers; provide education as needed.

Work with assigned contract manager on problem solving for provider issues; research

materials for new and renewal contracts.

Participate in provider site visits and established MHP work groups.

Monitor provider professional and vendor information to ensure timely and accurate

communication.

Monitor submission of required contractual forms from all contracted providers; ensure required information is provided to meet organizational credentialing requirements

Public Health Department (Child & Teen Checkup): MN

Senior Community Health Worker/Clinic provider outreach: May 2001 to January 2011

Execute assigned health-related social service, such as immunization, health education, client counseling, patient/client outreach and referrals to other social service agencies and providing training for clinics.

Work for Child & Teen Checkup and with other health plans and primary care clinics, maintain contacts with providers of service and agencies in the metropolitan area communities

Familiarize and respond to patients questions with clinic procedures; recommends changes in the existing health-related social service programs and policies
