ABB formally Power-One (Phoenix, Arizona) May 2011 to April 2016

Manufacturing Operations Lead Test Engineer

*Responsible for managing the Test Engineering Operations department which consisted of 5 Test Engineers and 10 Technicians.

*Developed and created and integrated many of the automated Labview and TestStand programs used to functional test and validate the 750KW to 1.5MW ULTRA Commercial Solar Inverter product lines. These tools allowed many of the manual testing processes and procedures to be automated which improved testing accuracy and eliminated many of the human errors created by the manual testing process. (Alarm Testing, Burn-In Testing, UL1741 Testing and Final Parameter & Configuration Settings)

*ABB 2015 Safety Award team leader for significantly reducing the high voltage hazards used in Ultra production test cells. Created several automated Labview applications which allowed significantly less exposure to hazardous energies used during the Ultra testing process.

*Yield improvement and global international customer support lead for US, Italy, Korea, Australia and Canada markets.

*Assisted in the creation of KPI data collection tools that drove corrective action reports to address manufacturing defects.

*NPI lead for a range of solar inverters products ranging from 3KW to 1.5MW

*Member of ABB safety committee for site safety audit and improvement.

*Responsible for developing UL testing methodologies to ensure all manufactured products meet the required standards and specifications for the US market.

*Responsible for defining the yearly Test Engineering budget including labor and capital equipment purchases.

*Defined and assigned technical resources and equipment to support new product testing and capabilities.

General Dynamics (Phoenix, Arizona) July 2008 to July 2012

Principal RF Test Engineer

*Lead of ATE department for RF module and board test in Software Defined Radio department, responsible for all related ATE hardware and software applications and responsible for test automation of all RF applications to move to production test.

*Design and build RF Test systems STE for RF module production test.

*Design RF fixture, wiring, switching and RF socket for RF module test

*Develop RF module test programs using Labview and Teststand.

*Teamed with RF design engineers during design phase to improve test and testability functions for production.

*Support manufacturing for RF modules test once released to production including data analysis and yield improvement.

Medtronics (Phoenix, Arizona) May 2006 to July 2008

Principal RF Test Engineer

*Product Support Manager Managing engineering team responsible for coordination, deliverables, problem solving coordination, cost analysis, timing, setting project priorities for multinational projects.

*Involved into the research and development to improve the product battery life and I was able to add a new concept to extend the device life time by modifying the device charging circuit, the paper was approved in the S&T conference in both Europe and the US.

*Develop and implement procedures to insure quality and customer satisfaction.

*Continuously work with product development, design, regulatory, quality engineers and product manufacturing to improve quality and yield in accordance with regulatory standards.

*Worked closely with the design engineers to get a testable design.

*Develop and test RF products using Labview, Digital Signal Processing, Waveform analysis, verification-validation, Risk plans and reports.

*Designing the required test fixtures to interface with device and the ATE machines for Pacemaker and Defibrillators device testing.

*Conducting FMEA, Gauge R&R, Failure analysis, Verification Validation plans and reports, Risk plans and reports, internal audit to improve coverage running these test programs on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and yield improvement.

*Construct and Generate waveforms required to test software defined radios. Analyze and test input waveforms from radios antennas and test all VCO’s in different bands to verify module functionality.

Boston Scientific Guidant CRM (Arden Hills, Minnesota) February 1999 to April 2006
