Organized and established a new area of operations in an area of the country that had previously failed for the company due to heavy competition, failed leadership, being flooded with an illegal skilled workforce, and a market highly sold on price vs. quality.

Developed strategies to overcome historic poor customer service and quality of workforce that Tradesmen had become known for within the construction community.

Established area wide KPI’s with scorecard to insure high levels of accountability while maintaining focus on activities that drive revenue.

Home Team Pest Defense – South West 2006 – 2012

General Manager

Recruited to spearhead the merger and growth of New Mexico after the acquisition on my company. Transitioned two rival companies into a single functioning unit, allowing the historic cost center to evolve into a profit center maintain in excess of 18% net profits. Oversaw and established operational standards in Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada, while managing New Mexico operations. In 2010 promoted to GM of Houston, which was plagued with high turnover, poor sales, and cancel rates from customers.

Reduced customer cancel rates by 28% and Retreat rates by 42% by establishing & training on application SOP’s throughout the South West.

Identified, negotiated, and managed 3 acquisitions in New Mexico and Texas.

Turned Houston from a single 8.2 million dollar operation to just shy of 22 million dollars in three locations in two years by focusing on retention, both employee and customers and acquisitions.

Route 66 Pest Control – New Mexico 2001 – 2006

Owner

Established a leading pest control operation in the Albuquerque and surrounding areas, brining in a new technology to the market targeting new home construction termite pre-treatments. Work closely with regulatory agencies to overcome a negative perception of the Termite pre treatment market.

2005 secured 77% of the market share for new home construction termite pre treatments.

Drew the attention of a large national company attempting to enter the market, for our superior customer service and quality of work, which had to purchase my company to enter the market.

Named by New Mexico Dept. of Agriculture to sit on board to rewrite NM 7D Pesticide laws.

Served as expert witness in multiple legal cases regarding misconduct and unethical behaviors surrounding pesticide laws.
