Summarizing Madhu Edara’s 20 years of Project Manager/Engineer in Engineering Field:

1) I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from 1988 to 1992 at Nagarjuna University, India –worked one year with Guntur Urban Air Pollution control of dust fall rate.

2) Then I joined as Engineer in Trainee for a waste water treatment plant and worked from 1992 to 1994 and involved with the process design of industrial waste water; reviewed the basic bioenergetics (COD VS BOD); observed the case studies of Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR); Mass balance and design calculations; developed the PFD's and PID'S; Research & Development work of Aerobic and Anaerobic filters; study of Desalination process.

3) I completed my Master’s in Environmental Engineering from 1994 to1996 at Mysore University, India- Worked as one year project associate with studies of laboratory scale model of Sedimentation tank and performed the optimization techniques in the design of Mysore City VaniVilas water distribution networks. Case study of water sampled waste water lagoons (EP approval parameters compliance).

4) Upon completion of my Master’s degree, I joined at a chemical plant in India as an Environmental Engineer in the year 1996 and was responsible for overseeing the laboratory and pilot scale evaluation of treatment process for Rayalaseema Alkalies and Allieds by reviewing the Ph. analysis of Alkaline industrial waste and evaluated the sludge disposal of industrial waste, worked with Quality Control of chemical usage in the lab and Logistics coordination and Environmental Safety inside the manufacturing plant and Pipeline Permit review;

5) Afterwards I got an opportunity to work as QA Manager from 1997 to 2000 on QIA Projects as a QA Manager performed Quality Assurance on all aspects of small and large scale projects; Evaluated the operation and maintenance of water treatment activity reports; Solid Waste Management (RCRA/TSCA waste profiling); Conducted semi-annual groundwater monitoring at landfill sites and provided complete reports of the activities to Waste Management. Prepared Solid Waste applications for a proposed construction and debris transfer station in accordance with the requirements of corresponding Administrative Code; ESA Phase I/II(detailed report, aerial photographs, historical information, data analysis, mop); worked with Gas Pipe Line Permit Review(FERC 7C and NEPA).

6) with Nodarse and Associates, between 2001 & 2002 as a Geotechnical Engineer, performed the Geotechnical and Pavement evaluation for the FDOT project with 3R(resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation) and evaluated the existing slope failure by conducting the field testing with Standard Penetration Test(SPT) borings. Later performed the statistical analysis on SPT borings data to derive the soil parameters. Performed sampling and Testing of cement concrete in strict accordance with ASTM standards. Reviewed and interpreted the project designs and specifications to determine the needful tests as required; accurately documented the testing results by adhering to the safety and Environmental regulations.

7) from Year 2003 to 2010 as a Water Resource Engineer/Environmental Professional on SFWMD projects; worked with the Remote control operation (SCADA to start/stop pumps and open/close gates) and Environmental Monitoring of Water control structures (culverts; spillways and pump stations) in Storm water management areas, prepared the water control operational plans by taking into consideration of flood protection, storm water attenuation and water quality treatment. Mainly worked with the Everglades restoration projects of storm water treatment areas (STAs) and Water Preservation Areas by reviewing the plans of Culvert Pipes, Levees and Berms; observed the design and permits of surface water management(NPDES Phase II regulations)

8) In year 2010 & 2011 participated in the BP Oil Spill survey team evaluating the water quality sampling and Environmental impact assessments along Florida West coast. Reviewed the discharge monitoring plans associated with soil sediment interaction and as well observed the Pipeline Permit Review (FERC 7C and NEPA compliance) and worked with SPCC guidelines.

9) In year 2011 worked with MFRA (North Dakota Roadway Construction Project), inspected the contractor implantation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP- followed NPDES regulations) to minimize the erosion and pollutant discharge for the project. Observed the design discharge while doing the extension of Reinforced Pipe Culverts, inspected the remove and relay of the end sections, and verified the quantity of soil used for erosion control blanket, inspected the production of raw materials and the deployment of the same.

10) In year 2012 and 2013 worked with LSSI proposals of Bureau of Petroleum Division(FDEP) to do a supplemental site assessment of contamination report by participating in Ground water monitoring program entailed sampling and PAH analysis of wells for the KAG parameter group.. Performed soil sampling activities Arsenic, pesticides( Organochlorine, Organophosphorus), herbicides(chlorinated), 8 RCRA Metals & copper by inspecting 40 acre site which was de-mucked to the water table and the site(Palm Beach School District) brought up to rough grade material imported from two different locations. (Performed Phase II after reviewing Phase 1)

11) In year 2014 worked with phreatic surface inspections of the piezometer wells (measures pore water pressure) under dam safety and discharge monitoring reports; also worked with sustainable projects of safe drinking water/sanitation/hygiene and as well Quality Control and logistics; Worked with Process Safety Management(PSM).

12) In year 2015 worked with Quality Control and Logistics for small Engineering projects and in year 2016 working with Environmental Sustainable projects.

13) Recently submitted "Hydro Ecological Engg of water resources" - technical abstract approved for "International Perspective of Environment and Water Resources 2014" conference and simultaneously will be submitted for ASCE journal of Water Resources and Planning.

14) Recently got selected for Environmental Planner job with FEMA and also got Security Clearance under Federal 5CFR 731 – still waiting for Task Order Proposals to finalise.
