WORK EXPERIENCE

Youth Care Worker I Hastings Youth Academy Hastings, Florida

(June 2005 – October 2005)

●Opportunity to help troubled youth who were sentenced to rehabilitation programs for 6 months to a year. I made sure these young men (Ages 11-19) ate, performed hygiene, got recreational time, and protect some from others, as well as, themselves. I helped them realize they're not necessarily bad people; just people who have made some bad decisions. I watched a lot of these youth walk in as boys and leave as men in my short time here. There were some I shed tears for as I watched them completely throw their lives away. It was an experience I'll never forget.
