• Panic Message and BackTrace Analyzer (was featured in September issue of InformationWeek 500 and awarded 14th place out of 500 nominees): Led Design and Development of an automated solution, using J2EE Framework/WebLogic/Oracle DB/WebServices /Perl/Log4J, to perform error collection, bug pattern matching and subsequent in-depth core dump analysis to shorten time to resolution of customer facing hardware related issues. Of the customer cases from around the world, 66% of the issues receive an automatic recommendation for resolution. This application increases productivity by eliminating manual work, saving the corresponding support costs of over $7,000,000/year.

• Remote Support Enterprise (RSE): Led Design and Development of Remote Support Enterprise based on Axeda ServiceLink as a part of NetApp’s Remote Support Diagnostic Tools, designed for remote performance monitoring and automated data collection for analysis and troubleshooting. RSE provides an interface for Technical Support Engineers to download logs files, configuration files, ad-hoc Autosupports™ and memory dump core files directly from a storage device in a Customer Data Center for analysis. The RSE allows NetApp to address problems fast and cuts resolution time by 50% resulting in drastic cost savings. Axeda/J2EE/HTTPS/SSL/JMS/WebServices/Log4J/WebLogic/Oracle DB.

• Automated Core Transfer: Led Design and Development of automated core upload mechanism with built-in resiliency, which provides a secure way of transferring memory dump core files from NetApp storage devices on Customer sites to NetApp in order to help Support Engineers faster diagnose internal fatal errors on processing systems and ensure continuation of Customer business (Over $15,000,000/year in support cost savings and 85% faster resolution time).
