Mold Prep Area

Cut fiberglass into different shapes and sizes and glued them onto buoyancy flotation device lids. Wore Tyvek suits for protection. Once each lid was finished, I would hook the lid onto the overhead crane, lift it up, place it on the dolly, get on the forklift, and take the lid to its next level of operation. Did this repeatedly until we hit our quota which was 16 – 20 parts a day.

Cut metal rods safe & slowly using Hydmech H14-A Saw Machine to make bolts or prep for CNC machinists. Also used chamfer to smooth edges on the ends of each bolt, and also used compressor to stamp lot and heat numbers on them. Filled out paper work on each work order completed. Took finished order to next level of operation. Removed and replaced saw blade from saw machine when saw went dull or snapped. Cleaned saw machine after each shift. Also operated sit-down forklift to move parts to and from my work area.

Stators Dept:

Worked in disassembly area where I used the overhead crane to move stator on to disassembly bench, threw chains over the stator and tightened them using hydraulics to secure stator, used block puller to safely pull out the bleed block off stator, connected the core puller on the injection end to slowly pull the cores out of the stators safely and slowly. Once that was finished, I used the overhead crane to move the core and stator on separate carts and take them to their next level of operation.

Also worked in the autoclave area where I used the overhead crane to move the giant baskets full of stators from the injection area to the autoclave oven and also moved other baskets that I manually took out of the oven and to the quench tank, used impact gun to loosen tension nuts for the bleed end and took off the injection cones from the injection end, pulled out the baskets that were done cooling in the quench tank using overhead crane and drained them. Move empty baskets from disassembly area back to injection area
