Project

B.E Project : “EFFECT OF WELD ANGLES AND TYPE OF WELD ON BUTT JOINT”

Different models of V-groove geometry on pipe varying included angle from 450 to 600 are studied. Also Geometric and material models for repaired welds are discussed and using this, new weld geometry is developed. Taguchi method is used for Design of experiments. Tests such as bend test and tensile strength test are conducted on specimens and based on the results obtained, the best geometry is selected.

M.Tech Project : “WEIGHT REDUCTION OF INJECTION MOLDED PLASTIC PALLET”

The main objective of the project is to reduce the weight of plastic pallet with strength and stiffness remaining constant. Various load carrying capacities of the pallet are taken into consideration.

The project is carried out at IIT Bombay under the guidance of Prof.P.P.Date
