Relevant courses
Surface and Colloidal Chemistry, Chemical and Biological Separations, Organic Chemistry I & II, Molecular Biotechnology, Electronic Devices for Energy Applications, Intro to Material Science Key accomplishments:
● As part of my Product and Process Design class I designed a novel industrial-scale chemical process for nitrogen purification, in which my team of four peers designed a plant to economically produce 99% pure nitrogen from air. We wrote a report which discussed our choices in process design and the final results from our research.
● I was part of a lab group in which we tested how E. Coli grows with a mutated gene that removes selectivity between glucose and lactose. In our weekly cell culture it taught me how to maintain a sterile environment while still quickly gathering samples for measurement throughout the growth time.
