ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Design and Fabrication of ‘Conversion of Plastic to Useful Fuel’ Machine
Designed a prototype for a machine which converts plastic to useful fuel
Injected inert gas in the chamber which exhausted the oxygen in the chamber and create a suitable environment for pyrolysis, which is a combustion process in the absence of oxygen which releases gas and can be condensed to liquid
Liquid that was released after the process was the useful fuel which has calorific value almost equal to the value of gasoline
Resolution of ‘6F50 Shift to Park Message Display Error’ by using Six Sigma (DMAIC)
Resolved the problem “VEHICLE NOT IN PARK message being displayed on Instrument Cluster even after putting the Gear Shifter Lever to P position that drains the battery”, by using Six Sigma (DMAIC).
By using DMAIC, DFMEA and Minitab we filter all the defects which cause the problem to a root cause which was increase in resistance of the switch due to silicon contamination in the switch.
Switch was then replaced by a new switch which was validated by accelerated test bed in environment simulating vehicle and the result was compared with the old switches.ss
Optimization Of Naturally Aspirated And Downsized Turbocharged PFI SI-Engine For Knocking Characteristics.
The model was based on MATLAB Simulink and it simulates single cylinder combustion of PFI SI-engine.
Change in knocking tendency and MBT (Minimum Advance for Best Torque) timings were determined by varying the engine parameters such as spark timing, EGR rate and Compression Ratio for both Naturally Aspirated and Downsized Turbocharged engines.
The extracted data were compared and parameters for the best engine performance were determined.
Pedestrian Safety System
Developed an Intelligence Transport system to enhance driving convenience. This is developing a Pre-crash Sensor that detects Pedestrians.
This uses Radar Technology, Laser and a camera sensor to detect an imminent crash.

Benchmarking of Vehicle Seating Design
Evaluation of the vehicle seating designs in various vehicles of coupe and sedan segments
Measurement of Driver packaging dimensions using a H-Point Device
Evaluation questionnaire is prepared and responses are noted to evaluate the better seat design

Vehicle space frame model is developed using CATIA
Modal Analysis is done using Hyper mesh to increase the natural frequency by increasing the thickness and adding extra elements to the space frame
