CARLETON UNIVERSITY
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (2012 – 2016)
RELEVANT SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED THROUGH EDUCATION
Designed and developed multiple prototypes using Creo Parametric(PRO E), CATIA, Solid works and AutoCAD in order to get a proper 3D visualization of numerous products
Programmed software which could linearly interpolate and extrapolate data and yield an equation for the line of best fit using MATLAB functions and Simulink
Have multiple experience in programming with JAVA,C+ and visual basic in various environments
Analyzed stress and strains on various metal components to gauge the effects of those stresses on those particular parts using ANSYS
Analyzed fluid movements through various pipes and bell mouth openings and observed and reported the pressure changes relative to the fluid motion and used a CFD program for further analysis
EXPERIENCE DURING GRADUATION
SCO2 Gas Turbine (4th Year Project)
Worked in Gas Turbine project which aims to develop a small 250 KW SCO2 Brayton cycle loop. Working in the dynamic modelling and control systems group within the project tasked with designing a Simulink model that accurately depicts the on goings in a power plant. Designed and then performed various test cases to make sure the turbine model was correctly emulating the turbine characteristics such as mass flow and torque output. Communicated with the entire group and organized all the data and presentations acting as an integrator within the team. Wrote several technical reports for different models that were completed during the project. Ravens Cansat Team
Designed a satellite and its payload which when launched to up to 1000 feet, would provide safe controlled descent and provide telemetered to a ground station. Was part of the mechanical team that designed the descent system and the payload containing an egg inside was safe after falling from 1000 feet. CFD analysis were used to model the fluid properties of the satellite while the structure itself were 3-d printed using CAD drawings. Mech & Aero Project
Designed a hybrid catapult with custom improvements that would shoot an egg on to a bar suspended at 78 inches that touches the bar but does not break. Got a 100% grade in the project competition and ranked 1st overall amongst 23 teams, finishing 2nd on the fastest time and 1st on the distance to the bar. Designed the entire catapult on SolidWorks and then made it with wood and aluminum bars using the tools available in the school machine shop. Drive Shaft System for an Off-Road Motorcycle
Was tasked with designing a drive shaft system for an off-road motorcycle. Followed the design process including work plan development to design a draft shaft system for a motorcycle by choosing the best of multiple design options. Performed sizing and stress calculations on gears, U- joints, shafts, bearings, and casing. Designs were made in PTC Creo and ANSYS was used for advanced stress calculations. The final design was presented in journal style article. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
