Volunteer Financial consultant

Designed and implemented a new financial service offering, to increase the portfolio. The new service generated an increase of 20% in new non-profit clients and opened new opportunities for cross-selling additional services.

Implemented process improvements, such as the migration of operative activities into a non-profit partnership to achieve cost reductions and increase employee quality of work and life. Process improvement generated a reduction of 60% in administrative task time.

Redesigned financial processes for a non-profit client aimed to avoid duplicity and reprocesses at various levels. Additionally, led the implementation of a new software tool that allowed automation of grants management, according with the established policies.

Led a team of 3 analysts in advising the largest utility company in Colombia during its IFRS implementation and financial processes improvement across 15 companies, including local and international subsidiaries.

Designed and implemented the financial process/services to be offered by the Shared Service Center (SSC) of the largest Oil & Gas Company in Colombia. The process design included activity definition, metrics, reporting, service level agreements (SLA) and entity level governance responsibilities.

Led requirements definition for a billing digitalization tool that automated the document intake process, increasing the efficiency in processing from 508 to 1800 documents per month per person.

Analyzed and developed a change management strategy for a financial institution during the implementation of a new core banking software, leading focus groups and meetings with senior executives (CEO and VP’s).

Assessed the control environment for major financial processes to align with SOX requirements and reducing the risk of fraudulent actions for one of the largest Oil & Gas Company in Colombia.
