The past year and (7) months, I have been working as a Senior Associate Training Specialist for Thermo-Fisher Scientific. I spent my entire career designing, developing, implementing and/or facilitating training and creating learning solutions. I have a B.S. I’ve partnered with learning teams and clients to provide design consultation to assess design and development needs, determine appropriate blended learning curriculum solutions, and identify resource requirements necessary to complete each project from a technological point of view. Additionally, I have been responsible for the management of existing technology assets, graphic design, audio/video production, programming, and product development. In my current position, I manage the training records for the Thermo-Fisher Scientific staff. I am responsible for training content, training records, training certifications required for each role. I provide weekly status reports and host monthly training reviews for the 20+ Managers in the Manufacturing/Operations departments. I maintain a computer-based training room and oversee 14 other facilitators that proctored training certifications. I am will versed in their current SAP/LMS and regularly uploading training rosters, records and on a daily basis correctly training records. I provide various training reports for internal and customers (OSHA) audits. Additionally, I oversee and run the New Hire On-Boarding program for the Operations/Manufacturing Departments. I facilitate (10) training modules that are required for our new hires working on the manufacturing floors and labs.

Thermo-Fisher Scientific, Carlsbad, CA 2014 – Present Senior Associate Training Specialist – Global Manufacturing Oversee the Learn It Training Program for the Manufacturing/Operations departments for the Carlsbad site. I upload pass/completion of training records from this program to the Corporate Learning Management System (LMS) and identify any discrepancies in the training record. I proctor training certification sessions through the Learn It Training Program Database and facilitate quarterly Facilitators meetings; communicating any changes to the current database or processes to the current pool of Facilitators. I maintain the corporate training room; computers and library resources that are available to the site. I provide Weekly Metric reports to the Manufacturing/Operations Managers depicting training pass/failures, completions, past due trainings, and content comprehension. On a monthly basis, I am responsible for hosting the Manager’s Monthly Training reviews for the manufacturing/operations managers. This review consists of providing metric reports that consist of the following:

Content plans updates; identify what modules should be developed for the month and drive completion of these modules

Pass Rate/Attempts > 3 attempts

Pass/rate failures

Pass/completion for the 420 certifications taken that month

Provide information on what roles were created and what certifications are assigned to each role - based on the each manager’s training content plan

Create and assign new roles to the Carlsbad staff. I develop and assist Subject Matter Experts (SME(s) with developing training content, knowledge assessments and provide instruction how to upload the required files for the Learn It Database. I assign the regulatory qualifications to roles in LMS. I possess the ability to identify any outdated training events and removed them from the Learning Management System (LMS). I have a thorough knowledge of the SAP/LMS system in order to upload training records, create employee profiles, roles and training assignments. I am responsible for running SAP reports on a daily basis specifically for Customer audits; Training History reports, Status training reports and Utilizations training reports. I correct any broken links in SAP and create regulatory qualifications for Learn It and non-learn It course certifications.
