• BS Mechanical Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT), 15’-Present
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam – Mechanical, 2/27/15
Employment History
Original Energy
Operations Manager, 6/14-Present
• Facilitate and oversee over 40 oil to gas conversions through entire process
• These projects for large residential buildings can range anywhere from $80,000-$300,000
• Communicate with customer to discuss needs, associated costs and work schedule
• Work with engineers for job specifications and code compliance
• Gather and review multiple 3rd party contractor proposals for each job
• Coordinate visits to buildings and boiler rooms for meetings, walk-troughs and material delivery
• Also work on LED lighting Audits, local law 84 and local law 87 (energy audit) projects
Consolidated Edison Energy Company
Internship, 6/12-8/12, New York, NY
• Contacted contractors stating what parts were needed for certain jobs
• Updated utility specification books to meet current code
• Finding and printing gas, electric and steam maps of job area
• Visiting job sites to check on power connections and safety codes
Course Work
• Design of Mechanical Systems
A semester-long project in which I worked in a group of eight to solve an engineering problem in much detail. Oral and written presentations were given in front of potential buyers for the product.
• Thermals and Fluids I, II & Lab
Control volumes, mass and energy conservation, second law of thermodynamics, Bernoulli equation, fluid statics, forces and heat transfer. As well as the applications of thermodynamics, heat transfer, HVAC, automotive design and materials processing. All these concepts were tested and used in a lab setting.
• Introduction to Engineering Design
Through Creativity, teamwork, and communication my team worked on a mostly semester-long project that turned mechanical energy into electric energy which also included an app that provided the user with calorie loss. This program (done in Java) was completed by me and one other member.
• Elements of Mechanical Design & Lab
Loads, stresses, and strains, failure phenomena and material selection. Mechanical components including shafts, couplings, bearings, gears, springs, clutches, brakes, screws and fasteners, and bonded joints. Was then able to experience these components first hand through a series of labs.
