Xstrata Horne Smelter – Upgrade Study for expansion to 210,000 ktpy included defining the plant bottleneck and required equipment addition/modification. Managed a team of 5 engineers.

Managed research and development activities on plasma arc transferred process for the production of metals powder, responsible for improvement of production and development of new products.

Troubleshooting of the production process to achieve the high quality product.

Studied reactor modification to improve the production rate.

Prepared the SR/ED reports.

Research Assistant - McGill University, Montreal, QC

Research Assistant in the “Lithium Research Group” at the Department of Mining, Metals and Materials Engineering. Investigated new and sustainable method for lithium metal production including preparing the feed material for vacuum thermal reduction process. Developed a commercial method for producing a high purity lithium oxide.

Assisted “Life Cycle Assessment” study for the recovery of aluminium scrap by different methods.

Teaching assistant for two substantial courses of undergraduate program including “Extractive Metallurgical Engineering” and “Iron Making and Steel Processing”.

Project Engineer

Managed a team of 10 engineers for a $10 million EPCM project including anode furnaces and caring wheel. As project Engineer performed the coordination with the client, subcontractors and equipment supplier to achieve target within the set seclude. Prepared progress reports of projects for client and company’s subcontractors. Sarcheshmeh copper smelter expansion project (from 140,000 to 185,000 MTPY) project engineer to provide technical support to client.

Senior Process Engineer

Khatoon-Abad copper smelter 80,000 MTPY $750 million EPCM project in exclusive field of metal extraction to produce copper anode in Kerman, Iran. Responsible for areas reviewing of basic/detail process design of plant and Flash Smelting Furnace, Electrical Furnace, Anode Refining Furnaces, ESPs, Stacks, Casting Wheels, and Refractory Materials.
