Roles and Responsibilities:

Clearly understood the business objectives and converted into analytical problem.

Extracted data relating to demographics and insurance characteristics.

Understood structure and nature of the data using descriptive statistics.

Performed exploratory data studies to understand the nature of the data and how predictor variables are related to binary response variable.

Tracing and Treating anomalies and imputing irrelevant or missing data elements using statistical methods such as imputation.

Visualized the data using various charts to understand the trends, patterns and grouping in the data to understand overall pictures of the data.

Logistic regression is used to model the data as the responses were binary in nature.

Carried out predictive analysis using other classification techniques like Decision tree and Random Forests.

Analyzing lift charts, AUC, and ROC curves for both training and testing data.

Compared all the models applying ROC and AUC curves, and sensitivity and specificity tests.
