EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Missouri State University including 83+ hours of course work in geology, geospatial and related science with a GPA of 3.01, graduated in May of 2012. Two time Dean’s List recipient.

Independent Research

December 2008: Independent Research Project under the direction of Dr. Kevin Evans at Missouri State University, Springfield, Mo. Research was to examine the paleokarst geology in and around Dade County, Missouri. Included in this report was a written description on the basic geology of Dade County, a stratographic drawing of the area, a collage picture of the road cut and a geospatial map of Dade Country produced through Center for Applied Research and Environmental Services. (CARES)

Hobbies include nature photography, hunting, fishing, camping, rock hunting and hiking.

WORK EXPERIENCE

June 2015 - Present: Senior Mudlogging Engineer with PML Exploration. Job duties include preparing daily real time mud logs, correlation logs and reports, continuous digital monitoring of total well bore gas and component breakdown via chromatography as well as analyze, process and examine samples and interpret lithology using trinocular microscope and fluoroscope. I have experience working the Woodbine Sand, Permian & Eagle Ford Shale formation of SW Texas as well as shallow sand wildcatting in Carter County, Oklahoma.

November 2014 – June 2015: Independent Geosteering Consultant with Geosteering Solutions, Inc. Job duties include monitoring of multiple wells, utilizing HNAV horizontal navigation software with real time well data and utilizing my professional interpretations to adjust the placement of a wellbore while drilling to remain within a geological target. I am also proficient with Petra for well modeling and planning. I am currently working the Eagle Ford Shale play in south Texas for BHP Billiton. I pride myself on handling difficult projects, and executing safe and successful drilling programs.

November 2013 – November 2014: Senior Mudlogging Engineer with Diversified Well Logging, LLC. Job duties include (but not limited to) lithology identification and description, daily reports and logs, hot wire, TC total gas system and chromatograph operation and maintenance, shale density measurements, monitoring of drilling parameters, well control and mud properties, oil fluorescence and show reports along with real time data acquisition. I am particularly familiar with the day to day routines for Shell Offshore and have worked on three different offshore platforms for Shell including their newest ultra deep water drill ship, the Noble Don Taylor in the Gulf of Mexico.

October 2012 – November 2013: Offshore Field Specialist with Geoservices, a division of Schlumberger Oilfield Services. Job duties include (but not limited to) the disciplines of sample description and analysis, maintenance of accurate and comprehensive log(s) as per the specified format, provide total well control monitoring, gas analysis, maintenance and repair of gas analysis equipment, inventory, manifest coordination, packaging and shipping of samples, completion and submission of all daily reports and logs concerning geological and drilling parameters to the client representative. I worked on the ultra deep water drill ship, the Transocean Discoverer India, in the Gulf of Mexico on Chevron’s Keathley Canyon Lower Tertiary Wilcox Sands Moccasin prospect.

June 2008 – May 2012: As a full time student at Missouri State University, I utilized my G.I. Bill benefits and graduated with B.Sc. in Geology with a minor in Geospatial Science.

July 2002 - June 2008: MCI Residential Phone Services Department Springfield, Mo. Job responsibilities included sales and service of MCI telephone services. I was a consistent Top 10 performer and was invited to quarterly sales performance awards on numerous occasions.

Jan 1989 – July 2002: United States Navy; E-5 Sonar/Electronics Security Technician in Nuclear Submarines. Job responsibilities included operation, maintenance and repair of state-of-the-art sonar detection system (AN/BQQ-6) onboard Trident nuclear submarines. Provide physical and electronic security for D-5 nuclear missile components at Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic, Kings Bay, Ga.
