Maintenance Supervisor
• AMOS system administrator, responsible to ensure that all preventive and corrective maintenance is captured in AMOS
• Monitors the quality and timeliness of preventive maintenance
• Ensures modifications of the rig and new equipment are approved according to Atlantica policies and procedures before operation
• Oversees modifications to the equipment and structure
• Responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper function of the Fire Main, Bulk, Bilge, Ballast, Drill Water, Raw Water, Potable Water, Fuel Oil and Low Pressure Air systems.
• Responsible for the maintenance of all Marine Fire and Safety systems on board the vessel. Including, but not limited to: Lifeboats & Life-rafts, Fire Systems, Lifesaving Appliances, Confined Space Entry, Gas Detection, Fire/Boat/Gas Drills, Radio equipment and mechanical/electrical compliance with regulatory requirements and the permit to work program.
• Responsible for ensuring good quality water
• Responsible for the planning, organization, logistics and execution of hull preventative maintenance program, including steel replacement, tank maintenance and protective coating program
• Ensure understanding of, and compliance with, Atlantica’s SWIM (Safe Work Integrity Management) work place controls i.e. JHA, PTW, Energy Isolation etc. for the rig and maintains all SWIM records.
• Ensures, through observation, records, and inspections, that all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems meet regulatory as well as Atlantica requirements
• Ensures all maintenance is performed in accordance with Atlantica policies and procedures, equipment manufacturer’s recommendations, the Rig Operating Manual, as well as regulatory requirements and codes.
• Monitors repairs and rebuilds equipment to ensure it is performed properly, safely and economically.
• Maintains updated rig drawings
• Initiates analysis and identifies the root cause of failures on rig equipment and systems
• Monitors equipment logs to ensure operating and maintenance standards are maintained.
• Makes decisions on repair priorities
• Produces weekly operational reports and provides recommendations
• Reviews equipment and spare parts inventories in order to ensure adequate and accurate inventory. Investigates and resolves discrepancies.
• Requisitions spare parts, tools and materials.
• Sets the goals, priorities and standards of the Maintenance department
• Ensures the roles, responsibilities, and authorities, accountabilities and performance measures of Maintenance department staff are understood and enforced.
• Assesses the competencies of direct reports and works with them to enhance required competencies. Provides input to overall staff development activities.
• Evaluates and suggests improvements to the Maintenance department policies, systems and procedures. Supports established change initiatives to improve Maintenance department performance
• Assists in rig moves as required.
• Performs all duties in accordance with the SWIM program
• Makes recommendations for continuous improvement to the Integrity Management System (IMS)
