Summary
With over eight years’ experience in industry, I have involved in designing and developing seven types of measuring and protecting products which are already widely used in industry. Especially, the abundant hardware design experience filled me with the knowledge of PCB layout, EMC design, and industrial standards of EMC and EMI test. Moreover, project planning and management, quality management, and customer services were also significant components in my past work experience.

PhD Thesis: High Gain high Efficiency Resonant DC-DC Converter
Proposing a novel topology for high gain resonant DC-DC converter
The converter shows its advantages of less active switches, reduced stress of switching devices and transformer, high voltage gain with normal duty ratio, suitable for high power application without cascade or parallel, high efficiency and reducing cost
Fundamental operation of the converter is explained in detail, mathematic model and derivation are fully discussed.
Parameters for converter design are analyzed, comparing with different topologies
Control method of the converter is studied, modelling of the converter is explained
2 kW research prototype is built and tested
Simulation in PSIM and experimental results are used to verify the theoretical calculations and analysis.
Application of Wide Band Gap Devices in traction inverters of EV and HEV
Discussing SiC devices’ advantages and disadvantages over Si IGBT in traction converter applications
Power loss evaluation and comparison for SiC MOSFET, SiC BJT and Si IGBT
Study other issues about SiC devices such as cost, reliability etc.
