Technical Projects
First Gimbalized Flir Thermal System for Inspire 1 UAVs, IntelligentUAS LLC, Riverdale, Maryland (08/2015 – 09/2015)
Analyzed different electronic components for suitable designs
Designed electrical schematics to integrate Flir thermal camera signals to the Inspire 1’s Lightbridge video feeds
Designed supporting structures to mount components to DJI’s Inspire 1 UAV
Result: The project is commercially available
Solar Panel Inspection Hexa-copter, IntelligentUAS LLC, Riverdale, Maryland (02/2015 – 05/2015)
Worked with an Italian technical team to incorporate a solar panel inspecting device into small UAVs
Designed and 3D-printed structures to integrate additional components to the UAV
Result: The product is commercially available.
1-Dimensional Gimbal for Flir Tau-2 Thermal Cameras, IntelligentUAS LLC, Riverdale, Maryland (10/2014 – 12/2015)
Designed a light and cheap gimbal to compensate for the pitch movement of a DJI Phantom 2
Utilized available outputs on Naza-M V2 flight controller for stabilizing purpose
Simplified wiring procedures for better protection from the elements
Results: The gimbal weighed 50 grams, cost $25, and dramatically increased sale of the company’s Thermal Package. Aerodynamic & Structural Team Leader, AIAA Design-Build-Fly Competition, University of Maryland (09/2011 – 04/2013)
