Mechanical Engineer

Re-Design exiting components to meet new design guidelines and design new components while evaluating the most cost effective manner in which these can be manufacture while maintaining current aircraft industry standards. These responsibilities range from interaction with the customer and their engineering team, maintain a detail record of all changes and new developments that may impact delivery dated.

Help Identify areas of improvement were changes can be implemented to speed up the downstream process and alleviate cost.

Worked as an active lead for the product development of the new composite tail and main rotor blades for the MH60R. This includes managing a team that will verify all the development of each process plan needed to manufacture each blade to its specification. Also verify that all blue prints are correct and are able to convey the proper engineering information and are up to Sikorsky standards.

Provided ongoing engineering support for production of new tools. Interfaced with suppliers during product development to expedite and coordinate part delivery and resolve design issues with suppliers and all aircraft.

Support electrical engineering in updating electrical workbooks to reflect new system design.
