System Integration Field Engineer: SeaChange International. Acton, Massachusetts. 1/3/2011 – 3/1/2014

* Responsible for the installation, configuration, implementation, deployment and troubleshooting of SeaChange Axiom backoffice in production Multiple System Operators environments. This includes MSO’s in the USA, Mexico and South America.

* Fulltime traveling to customers sites to perform physical installation of Axiom Servers (MDS, CDS, IPS, VideoServers, etc). On occasion this would include racking equipment and cabling servers in MSO’s headends. Resolve all issues that may arise from the physical installation including but not limited to; hardware failure, failed disk drives, power supplies, video cards, and cabling to switches/routers. Support Axiom integration projects with 3rd party vendors such as Rovi/Showrunner.

*Apply all necessary software upgrades and patches. Ensure that all Axiom components are able to communicate with existing and additional equipment. Maintain accurate data on work performed. Schedule maintenance windows and the integration into production. Provide support prior, during, and after implementation.

* Perform additions, replacements, implementations and expansions in production MSO environments including USA, Mexico, and South America. Schedule all work with customer and SeaChange Project Managers. Comply with strict deadlines for project completion. Daily reports on work performed to Project Manger. Manage multiple projects with various MSO’s simultaneously.

* Frequently traveling in the USA, Mexico, and Latin America. Depending on project and physical location I could stay on-site for several weeks. Traveling could consist anywhere from 60% up to 90%. When not traveling I would provide remote support from my home office.

* Some example of tasks included but not limited to; CDS/CMA integrations, DNP table updates, asset propagation, rebuilding entire Axiom backoffice, stream testing, major VideoServer expansions, replacing existing equipment, providing support to Labs (Cox), hardware replacements, and anything related to SeaChange Axiom.

* MSO’s in Latin American include but not limited to; Cablevision Argentina (Buenos Aires), VTR (Chile Santiago), Cablevision Mexico (Mexico City), Multimedios (Monterrey Mexico), MegaCable (Guadalajara Mexico), CableOnda (Panama), ChoiceCable (Puerto Rico).

* MSO’s in USA include but not limited to; Cox Communication (Atlanta), RCN (Boston, Chicago), Service Electric Cable (Pennsylvania), NorwoodLight Cable (Massachusetts), Mediacom (Albany, Alabama, California), InterMountain Cable (Kentucky).

* Supporting all Passport products, applications, and servers for all Rovi Multiple System Operators in a Motorola environment.
