Project Profile:

We consider carrier sense multiple access(CSMA) protocol to implement packet data communication between a number of nodes for local network. Local networks are nothing but the number of computers, connected through routers to share the important application, information or data with one another. In short it is known as LAN.CSMA allow station to prevent itself from busy traffic and thus it works under Media Access Protocol(MAC).It provides scheduled data transmission which is elixir for overall effective performance. To minimize the chance of collision and therefore, to increase the performance, the CSMA was developed. Here the software tool NETWORK SIMULATOR version-2(ns-2) is described and used for the simulatonbof wireless Local Area Netwoks and hence we analyzed PACKET DELIVERY RATIO, THROUGHPUT(BANDWIDTH) and DELAY. The results achieved during the x-graph analysis, provided a high packet delivery and less end to end delay, means overall data was transmitted effectively(94 % approximately from n0 to n5 that is source to destination node with delay 39.6 ms)
