Iowa CJIS projects

Built statewide justice information sharing systems from ground-up. Implemented more than 10 data exchanges among 30+ agencies, using .NET and national standard NIEM data model. This project won national CJIS outstanding award from IJIS institution.

Led a team of 4 developers. Provided technical training to in-house developers as well as integration partners.

Facilitated discussions with business partners to determine needs and appropriate solutions.

Architected SOA solutions for the projects, including message patterns, sequence diagrams and interoperability with Oracle ESB.

Designed the integration database. Created complex stored procedures and triggers. Responsible for performance tuning. Developed business reports from SSRS.

Ownership of the full life cycle for the solution, from analysis and design through testing and delivery.

McHenry, IL CJIS projects

Built justice information sharing systems for McHenry County, IL. Implemented 7 data exchanges between 3 agencies. The CIO of McHenry County praised the systems as “bullet proof”.

Implemented SOA architecture with similar Microsoft technologies as the Iowa projects.

Interfaced with existing application using RESTful web services and JSON.

Designed and developed the message staging database in MS SQL Server. Responsible for most database related tasks, including stored procedure, tuning and daily maintenance.

Built a web application for end users to maintain code mapping tables using MVC, Entity Framework on IIS.

Colorado District Attorneys’ Council, July 1999 - 2008
