JOB OBJECTIVE

Logistics Manager position is designed to oversee all equipment related functions, warehouses and warehouse employees within the Division. This position is designed to support and work with the local Safeway Store Planning personnel and Division Manager in execution of all logistical needs. The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouses, training and development of Logistic employee(s), accurate receipt and inventory of ALL fixture related materials for company resets, test sets and select remodel activity, and all equipment shipments within the division. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supervision and scheduling of the logistics assistant(s) and driver(s) to ensure the on time and accurate delivery of equipment required for company resets and clean-up activity. Working daily with the Logistics Warehouse Supervisors/Coordinators hands on to ensure accuracy is met and company standards and policies are enforced from the warehouses. Daily communication via email correspondence with members of RMSI management, team leads, trainers, Safeway Store Stocking Department and internal company personnel. Daily SRS entry of time and project information which could include approval of logistics team activities and time entry. Weekly/Daily review of Clean-Up Reports to plan and execute the completion of outstanding “YE/CE” related clean-up. Daily check in of current as well as upcoming wave equipment. The communication of equipment shortages to be communicated via phone and or email to the national logistics Manager/Director. (Via Wave Communication Log). Daily validation of full warehouse inventory of incoming freight, surplus freight and upcoming freight. (Weekly Inventory Form )

Daily update to logistics schedule via Safeway Schedule Change Report(s) Daily review of wave activity via Store Stocking/RMSI Divisional recaps from SRS for accuracy and completeness. Scheduled meetings with Safeway Store Stocking Department to provide updates and resolution to “YE/CE” related activity to RMSI and Safeway Senior Management.

Daily review of driver/store deliveries to ensure compliance and accuracy of delivered equipment. Monthly involvement and presentation(s) of logistics related topics at kick-off meeting(s). Dale Mcelvain

Daily/Weekly/Monthly return of inventory and requested materials to the national logistics director. Monthly return of excess equipment to the Safeway Surplus Warehouse and various vendor warehouse locations. Supports internal company projects and initiatives as needed Use of ladders, extension poles and associated sign hanging tools. General use and knowledge of, store fixtures, basic tools and functions. ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Weekly conference calls with division managers to review weekly objectives, to provide updates and problem solving activities.

Weekly balance of receipts and review of gas card and truck rental activity. Use of scissor lifts, towing trailers and all associated safety and operating guidelines. Use of ladders, extension poles and associated sign hanging tools. Check email multiple times a day and respond ASAP, at least within 24 hours. QUALIFICATIONS

2+ year experience in the field of logistics/warehouse/market industry. Knowledge of schematics, verbiage and fixture equipment related to industry. Need to Pass STA/TSA certification background check. Pass DOT physical including urine screen & drug screening. Ability to drive, maneuver and back up a 26 foot cargo truck in tight city environments for extended periods of time. Ability to promote and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently in warehouse without direct supervision. Have a reliable form of transportation. (Current valid Driver’s license and proof of Auto insurance will be required). Display self-driven, positive attitude and above all, integrity Well organized with excellent follow-through and with exceptional attention to detail. Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing market needs. Have a working knowledge various software programs and common computer functions (i.e. Word, Excel, Email, uploading digital pictures).

Familiarity with RMSI PIC’s and process for uploading. Familiarity with SRS processes including the ability to understand and complete documentation for SRS. Handle light power tools, (drills), and manual tools, (hammer, screw drivers etc.) Stand, bend, stoop, climb stairs/ladders and lift above shoulder level consistently. Walk and stand for 10 hour shifts (often on concrete and/or tile surfaces). Lift up to 75lbs repeatedly.
